Every VTS typewriter has been through an extensive refurbishing process. The paint, decals and nickel plating are original. These original vintage typewriters have been disassembled, degreased, cleaned, adjusted, oiled, tested and are ready to type right out of the box. Worn parts are replaced with original parts from the same make and model typewriters. The platen and feed rollers are reconditioned or replaced if necessary. A new ribbon is installed after the typewriter is sold. This insures your ribbon will arrive fresh. The average 3 hour process is in reference to my actual hands on time. It takes several days to refurbish a portable and more than a week to refurbish an office model typewriter. The pictures are always of the actual typewriter or item you will receive. I do NOT use stock photos. You can find other pertinent information on the item page. Every typewriter is refurbish prior to listing.
