VTS Typewriter Covers and Typewriter Pads

VTS Typewriter Pads
The typewriter pad was designed to reduce internal noise, eliminate vibration and catch eraser shavings. They were used in offices, schools and even in homes. With the coming of electric typewriters, the typewriter pad faded from the market.
They have been highly sought over the past decade and now you can own one! My pads are made from 100% wool felt and have a 1/16" Neoprene pad on the bottom. This is a very important, new feature. Although typewriter pads did everything they were designed to do, they didn't keep the typewriter(mainly portables) in place during typing. The machine would "creep" while being used because the felt didn't "grip" the surface. With the addition of the Neoprene pad, my typewriter pads stay put! No sliding, turning or creeping while using your favorite typewriter ;-) Use it on a glass, metal or a polished wood surface with no scratching either! The Neoprene is smooth but has superior grip on slick surfaces. Being a little over 1/2" thick, these compressed typewriter pads can handle the largest desk model without compromising the integrity of the pad.

VTS Typewriter Covers
This has long been a project of mine and I am so glad I can finally offer them on my site! Coming November 20th of 2009, the new VTS Typewriter Cover will change the way you protect your investment! Currently, cheap vinyl covers(prices starting at $39.95 plus $9.95 S&H!) or rough, odd-sized covers are all that's available. In my opinion, they are both inadequate for todays writer/collector. Until now, you simply were not able to find an attractive, reasonably priced custom cover. For those of you using trash bags, scraps of cloth, rough vinyl covers or over-sized IBM covers to protect your prized typewriters, you now have an affordable option. The new VTS Typewriter Covers are made of tan micro suede. A super soft, lint-free, scratch-free, lightweight material. I also had the manufacturer incorporate an elastic drawstring around the bottom so each cover can be cinched tight around the typewriter base. This helps keep the dust out! When you want to protect your typewriter, VTS Typewriter Covers are the only way to go!
