VTS Opinion of Use:Hard to find model and condition! The Densmore has it's place in typewriter history. Developed by The Densmore brothers(financially backed the first production typewriter - Sholes and Glidden) and Franz X. Wagner(Designed the Underwood), this blindwriter was impressive. Similar to other upstrikes of the time, it definitely had it's own appeal in the market. Several models were manufactured with little difference in the later versions. The 5 was the last made before the company fell victim to the Union Typewriter Company in 1907. Beautiful details! Get it while you can ;-) The entire machine has been through the 3 hour process of cleaning, oiling, adjusting and testing.
