VTS Opinion of Use:Another beautiful writing machine! The Hammond has a look all it's own! Actually the mechanics are quite unique as well. Hammond's used a type shuttle that would rotate left or right when a key was pressed. Then a hammer would strike from the rear of the machine and press the paper to the character. It was fast and left a great impression. This one works but these aren't for regular use. The entire machine has been through the 3 hour process of cleaning, oiling, adjusting and testing.
