VTS Opinion of Use: RARE Wide Carriage! This was definitely one of the more important typewriters in history. It was small and could be easily carried but it also had a truly unique type mechanism that later rocketed IBM to the top of office model machines. The type wheel movement made for quick action and a nice finish. The type wheel could also be changed in seconds making it far more versatile than any other portable on the market. The DHIATENSOR keyboard was standard and considered more efficient by Blickensderfer than the QWERTY layout we still use today. These are not for regular use but it does work and so the type action can be demonstrated. If you reconstitute the ink roller it would type like new.
