VTS Opinion of Use: Considered one of the best portables for actual use! The Silent was the top of the line for LC Smith Corona! This is a very good typewriter for regular use. The mechanics are sound and the action smooth, less choppy than early portables. Ready for that novel or script. No excuses with this typewriter ;-) The entire machine has been through the 3 hour process of cleaning, oiling, adjusting and testing.
