The VTS Lay-Away plan is designed to help you buy the typewriter you want without over extending your finances. It's simple to use and is a straight forward process. I just added this option back to the site due to high interest in the LAP. Reserve the typewriter you want today!
1. There is a 25% non-refundable down payment that must be paid via check or money order. I had a promo code for use on the site but due to an increasing number of LAP defaults and paypal chargeback claims, I am no longer accepting the down payment via paypal. I had several buyers claim "non receipt of item" through paypal chargeback resolution(they had not received their item because they hadn't finished paying for it) and paypal refunded their 25% and charged me a $39 chargeback fee. Please contact me directly(1.888.653.8973 or vtsanswers@aol.com) to place a typewriter "On Hold!" until your deposit is received.
2. The remaining balance will be due in full via paypal within 120 days of the date of purchase. If, at the end of the 120 day period, the customer cannot or will not pay the remainder, they agree to forfeit the 25% that has been paid.
3. There will be no interest charged and no fees charged to the remaining balance. For example, if the item is $400.00(and to be shipped in the lower 48 States), you simply pay $100.00 and pay the remaining $300.00 balance on or before the 120 day expiration date.
4. The item will remain visible on the web page but marked as "On Lay-Away!". The item will NOT be available for purchase by anyone else. It can only be viewed.
5. Once the payment has been received in full the item will be shipped within the normal VTS stated time frame.
6. To use the VTS Lay-Away Plan, the buyer must contact me directly to arrange the down payment.
