Return Policy:

Option 1. All of our items come with a full, money back guarantee, including return shipping costs, if not as described. International buyers have to pay return shipping, handling and insurance.  

 

Option 2. If you do not like the item for any reason(other than not as described), you may return it for a full refund of purchase price less return shipping, actual shipping, packaging and handling paid by VTS to get it to you. This reimbursement is so I can recoup my packing and shipping costs which is FREE to Lower 48 US buyers. The average portable takes 1 hour to pack ($35), costs $25 in packing material (Box, packing nuts, bubble wrap, stickers and label) and an average of $35 to ship it to the new owner. Office models are far more time consuming and very expensive to ship. It also helps stop "buyers" from "renting" my typewriters for wedding receptions and other short use events. International buyers payment will be refunded less all S&H as well. Option 2 is NOT available for Bargain Basement purchases.

 

Conditions:

Any customer wishing to return an item(s) must first contact customer support for approval and confirmation of understanding our return policy. Items must be returned within 7 days of receipt. 

1. All returned items must be in the same condition as received by the buyer.
2. All returned items must be packed as they were received by the buyer. Please use the VTS 
packing guide to ensure proper packing.
3. Any damage due to poor/improper packing by the customer will result in forfeit of the entire refund!
4. The Buyer is responsible for the item until it is returned to The Vintage Typewriter Shoppe.
5. Insurance and tracking for the returned item(s) must be provided to The Vintage Typewriter Shoppe at the buyers expense. If insurance is not purchased by the buyer and the item arrives damaged, The Vintage Typewriter Shoppe will NOT be responsible for the cost of repair or the refund.
6. Any additional items(extra ribbons, manuals, accessories)must be returned as well to receive a full refund.
7. All returned items must be inspected before a refund is issued. Every typewriters serial number is recorded and photographed prior to shipping.
8. Refunds will not be given in the event of loss or damage by the shipping company.
9. All damage/loss claims must be filed with the shipping company and the buyer agrees to follow their policies to receive the insurance claim payment. The buyer WILL NOT attempt any other action such as credit card chargebacks, stop payment or reversal of payment in any form. All disputes will be resolved according to The Vintage Typewriter Shoppe policies.
10. If all of the above conditions are met, a full refund(less restocking fee if situation applies)will be issued within 72 hours of receipt of returned item.
11. By purchasing any item(s) from the Vintage Typewriter Shoppe, the buyer is acknowledging and agreeing to follow all of the above policies.
