The new VTS Lay-Away Plan is designed to help those on tight budgets purchase a VTS typewriter over a 6 month period. It's a very simple process, as seen below.

  1. Find a typewriter that you like and that is available. If you can add it to your cart, it's available.

  2. During checkout, choose the Money Orders/Checks payment option. This will give you the information needed to submit a non-refundable payment of 50% of the total purchase price.

  3. When you're ready to complete the purchase, contact me and I'll email a Paypal invoice for the remaining balance. Your typewriter will be marked "On Lay-Away!" and remain visible on the site until the purchase is complete.

  4. Your order will ship within 48 hours of a cleared and completed payment in full.

  5. Enjoy your new typewriter :-)

  In addition to having a 6 month completion period, I am also offering a 10% discount on the total. Here's an example of a VTS Lay-Away Plan purchase.

  You see a typewriter listed for $875.00 on the site. You click on the picture to go to the detailed item page. You add it to your cart and go through checkout. You print the order page and send it with your check or money order for 50% of the total. In this example that would be $437.50. In a week, month or up to 6 months later, you contact me to let me know you're ready to complete the purchase. I email a Paypal invoice for $350.00 which (with the 10% discount of $87.50) is the remaining balance. You get the typewriter of your dreams discounted 10% and have up to 6 months to complete the purchase. If at the end of the 6 months you have not contacted me, I will contact you and give you 48 hours to complete the purchase.
